Welcome to The Pantry

The Pantry is a cake business situated in north-east London. In our high street shops we sell a variety of cakes for all occasions. The business is owned and managed by Alan Wright and Jagdish Patel, both of whom have both been running cake and party shops for over twenty years. With their vision the business is growing all the time.

Getting New Website Started

February 12th, 2010

Two days ago (10.2.10) we started a web hosting account with JustHosts. For only £118 we were offered a 5 year hosting service. We chose pantry-cakes.com for our domain name. Seeing that pantry-cakes.co.uk and pantrycakes.co.uk were also available as domain names, we bought them from FastHosts (costing £26 for two years). These extra domain names were set up to point to www.pantry-cakes.com (11.2.10).

Yesterday, a b2evolution blog engine was installed using the cpanel/fantastico suite provided by JustHosts. After playing around with the backend a little, the first pages were setup and this is where this post begins (12.2.10) and a new blog specific to the website was started.

Getting Business Blog Started

February 12th, 2010

With starting anew our online presence, this business blog has been created.

Our aims are to use this blog to record and document the present business and its future development. Over the following months we expect a considerable amount of documentation to appear. Much of this will only appear to members of the business and will not be available to the public. However any documentaton that can be shared online, such as cake photos, shop locations, will be made available to the public.
